Public Safety Report

The Public Safety Report is compiled from criminal complaints filed in state and federal courts, as well as some police blotter information, trooper dispatches, fire department reports and interviews with public safety officials. Individuals named as arrested and/or charged with crimes in this report are presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Burglary

• Two computers and a camera were reported stolen Wednesday from a Gilmore Street home. It is believed the items were taken sometime between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m.

• Fairbanks Police are investigating the theft of $1,500 in cash from a 10th Street residence. The homeowner, who had been gone since 10 a.m., came home around 6 p.m. to find a back window broken and the money gone.

Minor operating

• Kayl Todd Overcast, 20, of Fairbanks, was charged with minor operating a vehicle after consuming alcohol and minor consumption after Fairbanks International Airport Police spotted him fishtailing and speeding early Saturday morning on Airport Way. A chemical test found his breath-alcohol content to be 0.055.

Vehicle accident

• One person was taken to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital following a single car crash early Thursday morning near mile 357 of the Mitchell Highway.

The driver, Bryce M. Watts, 20, of Fairbanks, was unhurt. The name of the passenger who was taken to the hospital was not released.
